Glass Jewelry Fusing Class

Glass fusing is the melting together of different pieces of glass that are compatible with each other.  This workshop will teach you how to make hanging pendants and/or earrings. We will cover glass cutting, compatibility of glasses, and briefly touch on the firing process. I will supply glass for a pendant and a pair of earrings, cutting tools and some pliers.  The glass will need to be fired in the kiln overnight. Students will use glass tools & basic materials supplied by the instructor for this workshop.   The additional glass may be purchased from the instructor by the student for $5.00 -10.00 or more if extras are desired payable to the instructor. A minimum number of students is 2 Maximum is 4 at this location.

Supplies:

Students will need to bring their own special jewelry connections such as ear wires ( I can supply surgical steel french ear wires), chain, cord etc.  as desired.  Bring along any specials tools you may need to work with.  Jewelry pliers - round nose, and small wire cutters, if you have them, would be great to bring along in addition to what we have at the studio.  PLEASE, NO OPEN TOED SHOES!!!! Long hair tied back Bring Goggles -if you have some you like otherwise we supply them
